Are you an ambitious student who is interested in exploring academic fields beyond the borders of your own programme? Then you might want to take up the challenge to get a second degree in philosophy.
Erasmus School of Philosophy offers a unique Double Degree programme for students who wish to obtain a second degree in philosophy. This programme is highly flexible and can be easily combined with all bachelor programmes offered at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
A degree in philosophy is an excellent complement to any other degree. In the current age of uncertainty and rapidly advancing technologies, knowledge of philosophical problems and skills remains relevant. In this programme, you will learn to express arguments clearly and to think critically and creatively.
Guided by dedicated lecturers, you will delve into various philosophical topics, ranging from the philosophy of the Enlightenment to post-modern continental philosophy and from ethics to philosophy of science.
All students who have (at least) successfully completed the first year of any other Dutch university bachelor degree can start a second degree in Philosophy. If you have not yet fully completed the first year of another programme, but expect to do so before September 1st, you can register for the programme as well. However, to complete your Double Degree with Philosophy you need at least 90 European credits from another university bachelor programme.
